Happy New Year! 2010

Mike, Brayden and I would like to wish everyone a happy & healthy New Year!

We rung in the new year with our little man! Went to CBS Scene for dinner and then waited for the ball to drop.

1st Christmas!

We had a great 1st Christmas with Brayden. As usual it was very busy traveling around in an attempt to make all the family holiday parties so Brayden could meet everyone. His grandmother had Santa come to the Miller party so he was lucky enough to sit with Santa twice (once in the mall too) despite only being on the scene for 10 days. And he even met with Mrs Claus, thanks to his Great Aunt Gerri! He slept through all visits, I am sure next year will be VERY different.

It's a BOY!

On December 09, 2009 we brought our son into this world. It was the most amazing experience and we are so thankful for him and his good health. We named him Brayden Jack, with Jack in honor of his great grandfather who we consider his guardian angel.

I was fearing that the baby would come on my 30th Birthday which would have been okay except I was looking forward to some birthday plans. Had a wonderful day with the girls, going to Brunch and to see Legally Blonde the Musical (recommend it!)

Now, it seems this baby does not want to come at all...hopefully soon, as Mike and I are getting very anxious (which is prepping us both for sleepness nights) and SO want to meet our baby!

A Diaper Cake!

Work did their best to surprise me with a baby shower!

not only did we have cake but they gave me a DIAPER cake! with a Giraffe of course!

and there was other treats and gifts that were very generous of them all!

Spent some time with Andrew to help pass the time! Plus we needed to celebrate his upcoming move to age 2!



While Amy and Mike were off celebrating their softball season, we hit up Kidz World!

Happy Halloween!

Baby's "very 1st" Halloween Costume!

We celebrated Halloween by attending a 6 hr birth class - what fun! We then headed home, painted the bump and gave out candy to all the lil trick-or-treaters!

Showered with love...and lots of gifts!

Purse party...no! Baby Shower! The soon-to-be grandmothers threw me a wonderful baby shower on Sept 27. I can't lie...so no, I was not totally surprised! The amount of people that took the time to be there and show their love and support was overwhelming as was the sheer amount of gifts that I was presented with. I feel truly luck to have so many generous loving people in my life and this baby is already SO loved.

Some of the special girls in my life also contributed to the cutest baby cake I have ever seen! And boy did it go fast, I was lucky to get one last piece that was lying around, and it tasted as good as it looked.

I should have gotten a pic of all the gifts in my living room, it truly looked like a mini Babies-R-Us. However, all the gifts are in their spot awaiting the baby - my anal/organized self at work. While we have never announced a specific theme, the safari theme did surface with about 30% off the gifts having been giraffe related. Looks like that will need to be the baby's favorite animal. Okay with me because I recently found out that giraffes are known for their "Generous Hearts" and I hope the baby will learn the benefits of being generous and giving.

Oh and I must mention the beautiful rocking chair my grandmother got. One of her favorite things is to rock the babies, and this has been done with all generations...her 7 kids, 16 grandchildren?, & now the great grandchildren and counting. A very special and meaningful gift.

Happy 3rd Trimester!

7 Months already, 12 weeks to GO!

It seemed like only the other day we nervously awaited each min/hr/day to pass in getting to the 12 week mark and now we only have 12 weeks to go! We had a great summer to help speed along the time. Now we are (or I am) in nesting mode to get the house in order on top of researching every daycare possibility and pediatrician within a 10 mile radius. And I can't lie, bday/xmas shopping for those nov/dec months has begun. Can't be too prepared is my motto!

oh, and i think we are coming to a possible decision on a girl's name but you still will need to wait to find out what we have secretly been deciding! sorry!

baby coppolino is definitely growing and moving around lots. still have a lot of heartburn, wonder if the myth about having a lot of hair will hold true. with its part Italian background

and the fact that i had a headful when i was born - it just might!

a Babymoon!

with every friday in august off we decided to

hit the road for a spontaneous babymoon (pre-baby vacation). figured when we will be able to travel without an exact plan that much more. we ended up in the Cape and found a quite little spot on Hyannis Harbor with availability. it was fun even if i was fast asleep by 10! (as you can see from the pics, the daddy-to-be got some much needed relaxation too)
